Abstract

In the Mediterranean, heatwaves and drought intensity and occurrence are projected to increase. As some studies and theories suggest a cooling and wetting effect of vegetation activity, this study aimed to gain a better understanding of how vegetation relates to the local climate of the Mediterranean Basin.
