Abstract
In deze scriptie onderzoek ik de thema's communicatie en verzoening na traumatische ervaringen in twee romans van de Joods-Amerikaanse auteur Jonathan Safran Foer: Everything is Illuminated en Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Bij dit onderzoek ga ik uit van het essay “Reconciliation after Ethnic Cleansing: Listening, Retribution, Affiliation” van John Borneman.
