Abstract
We study the mutual information between disjoint regions in generalized free field theories, which are defined as quantum field theories whose two-point functions are given in terms of a generalized density of states, with all connected higher-point functions vanishing. These theories are of particular interest because their holographic dual is described by a free field theory in Anti-de Sitter space in one higher dimension. In this work, we compute the entanglement entropy in the holographic dual by discretizing the bulk theory on a lattice.
