Abstract
Words of Desire utilized an art-based methodology that required young women in the Hope Project in New Delhi, India, to reflect on their lives and social dilemmas through reflective writing and journal keeping. This thesis discusses the theme of women’s desires and aspirations, which the women frequently reflected on in their writings. Common themes include the navigation of complex, interdependent, hierarchical, and patriarchal family structures.
