Finding new ways to fight HIV/AIDS. Technology in HIV/AIDS organizations in the Western Cape, South Africa

Abstract

Technologies such as the internet, computer and mobile phone increasingly play an important role in the health interventions of health organizations. This thesis explores the use of technologies in HIV/AIDS organizations in the Western Cape Province of South Africa and shows how these technologies can contribute in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The goal is to show if, when and which technologies are useful in specific local circumstances.
