Abstract

In this thesis I explored how feminist theory can help understand traditionally masculinist organizations, and how it can help in creating more space for the feminine therein, through the development of a theoretical framework that combines feminist and organizational theory, and the use of a Dutch-based multinational corporation as a case study. The theoretical framework can be applied in analysis and has the potential to reveal gendered work practices and processes, and the reproduction of this genderedness through the workings of hegemonic and hierarchical power.
