Abstract

The purpose of the study is to test the susceptibility of A.hebraeum, R.bursa and R.sanguineus against fipronil and permethrin, thus to determine baseline data for these tick species, to enable detection of changes in susceptibility to acaricides. The Larval Packet Test is carried out to determine baseline data for the susceptibility. For R.bursa a LC50 of 2,085 . 10-1 mg/ml for fipronil and 7,9 . 10-2 mg/ml for permethrin was found. For A.hebraeum a LC50 of 9,6 . 10-3 mg/ml for fipronil and 1,115 . 10-1 mg/ml for permethrin was found. For R.sanguineus a LC50 of 5,7 . 10-3 mg/ml for fipronil was found.
