Boor Klep Kruimelklauw Baloe: On Translating Peter Stillman’s Speech in Paul Auster’s City of Glass

Abstract

This thesis aims at examining the translation problems in Paul Auster’s City of Glass. More specifically, it focuses on the translation of the passage in which Peter Stillman gives his speech. This thesis discusses the many translation problems that this specific passage causes for a translation into Dutch, on the basis of the author’s own translation.
